Imagine an American president capable of making such a speech in 2022, a speech designed to reduce tensions over Ukraine and to bring peace there rather than the humiliation of Russia and Putin, as every Western action seems designed today to do. Imagine a competition as Kennedy envisioned here, but now with China, a competition to build strong and independent, and prosperous nations able to determine their own destinies in Africa, the Middle East, and throughout the Americas.

“I speak of peace, therefore, as the rational end of rational men.” How much different would the world look today if irrational men in our own government hadn’t cut short this wonderfully wise man’s life? Considering how many average people support sending weapons and endless dark money to Ukraine, we obviously utterly failed at this critical task of rational minds. Let us try to rejuvenate this sentiment and return to rationality before it ends us all.
