Preparing For The Worst.

Madrid. In the White House, there is a president who believes that his country’s greatness was built through tariffs, not through free trade, which forces you to be more competitive.

And that the United States took the big leap with padlocks to prevent migration, and not when it was generous in welcoming people for work, science, and art.

And that the moral leadership of the United States was achieved through alliances with dictators who were enemies of their country, and not when it gave its lives, money, and sacrifices (in World War II and the Cold War) against totalitarianism and for freedom.

What explanation is there for this?

One could be found in a book recently published in France, reviewed by Professor Jean Meyer in his Sunday article in El Universal:

From 1977, Trump, then married to a Czech (Czechoslovakia was a “socialist” = Soviet “democracy”) was considered a “potential asset” by the KGB and was supposedly recruited in 1987 under the code name “Krasnov”, shortly before the fall of the Wall when agent Putin was working in Berlin. This is according to Alnur Musayev, former director of Kazakhstan’s surveillance services. True or not, what is certain is that Donald Trump was “cultivated” for forty years and helped enough to win the presidency in 2016.

True or not, says the respected Dr. Meyer. So, the facts:

Faced with Donald Trump’s betrayal — handing Ukraine over to Putin — President Emmanuel Macron is preparing the French for war and offering France’s “nuclear umbrella” to Europe.

President Macron’s vision is the same as that of the German chancellor and the British prime minister. Failure to stop Putin in Ukraine leads to war.

The next German chancellor, the Christian Democrat Friedrich Merz, asked his compatriots and Europe to “prepare for the worst”.

Allied with the Social Democrats and the Greens, he is going to reform the Constitution to take on more debt and allocate nearly 500 billion euros to defense in the coming years.

It is very possible that Germany will reintroduce compulsory military service for women and men, which was abolished 14 years ago.

The intelligence services of Finland, Estonia, Lithuania, and Latvia separately detail the acts of sabotage of the infrastructure of European countries carried out covertly by Moscow.

The European Union approved a spending reorientation and allocated 800 billion euros, most of which will come from each country’s budget.

Countries such as Spain and Italy, whose borrowing capacity is practically zero, voted in favor.

Four senior Trump administration officials have held private talks with internal opponents of President Zelenski, calling for free elections now.

Trump is not going to settle for an agreement on minerals in Ukraine; he is going to get rid of Zelenski to please Putin.

Trump’s insistence on calling elections in Ukraine, which is at war due to the Russian invasion and whose president was democratically elected (he called him a dictator), bears no relation to any similar effort in Venezuela, where a tyrant lost the elections and did not hand over power, while seven million Venezuelans have had to emigrate from their country.

Also false is Trump’s argument that Ukraine should pay with “rare earth” minerals for what the US has given it in aid.

What the US has contributed comes from taxpayers and will not go back into their pockets; instead, a few US companies and their shareholders will gain, and no one else will.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made it very clear that the tariffs on his country are intended to destabilize Canada and fulfill Trump’s desire to turn it into another state of the country of the stars and stripes.

In his report to the nation, Trump said he wants Greenland for the United States and that “one way or another, we are going to get it. ” It’s yes or yes. That is an advance declaration of war on Denmark, its NATO ally.

He wants to operate the Russian gas pipeline Nord Stream II, which runs from Siberia to Germany. This would help Russia twice: it would save the pipeline from bankruptcy, and Russia would return to exporting gas on a large scale. However, this would be at the expense of Ukraine, whose exports would fall even further.

With the suspension of intelligence aid to Ukraine, Trump gave the go-ahead for Putin to kill more people in that country. Last week, according to the Ukrainian government, Russia multiplied its attacks and launched 1,200 air-delivered bombs, 800 attack drones, and 80 missiles of various types.

Putin seems to have Trump in his pocket: he announced joint military maneuvers with Iran and China.

Is this how the United States becomes great again, surrendering to Putin?

It lost, by an outrageous majority at the UN, the vote demanding Russia leave Ukraine on the third anniversary of the invasion.

Along with the United States, Nicaragua, under Daniel Ortega, Russia, under Putin, Israel under Netanyahu, North Korea under Kim Jong-un, and the odd African country voted in favor.

Why so much defamation?

What Trump is doing is making it easier for Putin to take over part of Ukraine and then, as Lech Walesa told me in an interview, to strike again. And in a couple of years, or sooner, to take over the Baltic countries.

Whether or not he dispatches “Comrade Krasnov” to the White House, his services to Putin point to a war in Europe.
