How did the United States arrive at such a divided, tumultuous moment? In a nation that transform itself from weak colony to dominant force on the world stage, something unprecedented is occurring: both major geopolitical cycles (“institutional cycle” and “socioeconomic cycle”) are converging close to each other within the same decade, the 2020s, which has never happened in American History.
The unrest in America today -Trump, culture wars, new heights of political invective- are tremors of the coming crisis of the 2020s, when many of this country’s outmoded governmental and political foundations will change in a seismic way.
