Time is now counted in weeks. The end is an abyss, and it is approaching. He knows he has failed. Even though, at times, he may seem to live on another planet, he knows what has happened and is happening. His administration does not stand the judgment of history. That’s why he doesn’t want to get there. Desperation has taken hold of him. He has to escape without looking back.
Violence has taken over the country. Many claim that with his consent. But even if that were not the case, the result is brutal. A few days ago and spontaneously, the great Ciro Gómez Leyva, who does a formidable job in defense of our liberties and the Republic, made a count of the states where drug trafficking is announced as a significant obstacle for the election. Ciro, with a frown more furrowed than usual, in dialogue with his team, began to recall recent violent events in the State of Mexico and other States; he mentioned towns, extortion, deaths, an accumulation of facts, and also the dilemma of staying and living there. What if the National Guard arrived and left, etcetera. But, as he went on mentioning States, they realized that it was half of the Republic. And what to say about human rights violations (156,743), an increase of 9.1%.
And we were at that point when Loret de Mola, another obligatory reference, began his series El clan, about the President’s children and their businesses, about Boby -less noisy- and the fingernails of his friends involved in the construction of the Mayan Train. And, again, the Armed Forces involved. And well, despite all the pressures exerted on the media, Loret’s materials circulate, and many thanks to the “blessed social networks”. The same as with the successful Alazraki. They are unstoppable. This is the same Loret who challenged the President to talk about the income of both the journalists and the inexplicable income of someone who lived without working. End of corruption? It will go down as the most cynical regime in living memory.
Suddenly, Max Kaiser, with the collaboration of the National Council of Strategic Litigation, obtained a historic injunction. In which it is established that the “mañanera” violates the Constitution. The people who have been stigmatized, who have received unfounded offenses, on whom disqualifying labels have fallen, hundreds of them over five years, will be able to resort to this amparo as a legal precedent. What seemed to be a brilliant and untouchable information control mechanism could receive a cascade of accusations and end up in the International Museum of Authoritarianism.
We were in this situation when several buildings in Mexico City were illuminated one night with the legend “Morena failed”. The irresponsibility and deceitfulness are a topper. Now, the newscasts record the calls to the “super-pharmacy” that, more often than not, answers, no, we don’t have it. Or the influencer who filmed himself on a Mexicana flight, on which he was… alone. The same Mexicana that in the failed initial flight to Chetumal celebrated in the morning would end up in Merida due to a -foreseeable?- fog bank and would also have to delay its take-off because someone -not trained- spilled fuel on the runway. And what can we say about the document from the Secretary of the Navy released by El Universal that certifies that the works at the port of Dos Bocas are not finished, making ship operations risky? And the news continues. Food sovereignty? Well, it turns out that corn production is at 2016 levels and getting worse. They will say that water shortages in several cities are not Morena’s responsibility. But it is since leaks were not repaired, wastewater treatment was not promoted, and so on.
End of the party, let’s get out of here. Hence the sale of a future with new reforms that, he knows, today, are dead. They are propaganda, another deception.
He is escaping… to the future. Let him go alone.
